YoungPups

@ryancordell.org I played that game for a while and it was always so fiddly for me... and then doesn't work on any of my mobile devices where the app uses the GPS to geo-locate even if I'm on a VPN.

@ryancordell.org You must be blessed to be pulling for an out-of-market team? (Dang Iowa and our six-team blackout...)

@chrishubbs.com Hmmm...

Tempting.

@deflatermaus.bsky.social Vance keeps subscribing and cancelling when his Catholic guilt sets in. Rubio has one he forgot about but keeps getting charged for. Hegseth has a half dozen. Noem and Gabbard, probably too.

@amyedge @drose Oh wow. Nicely done! I was happy with my 3 today.

@chrishubbs.com The Episcopal lingo still just cracks me up. As I recall even at an older Baptist church we used the word “Narthex” but I still giggle now every time I hear “Undercroft”.

@midwest-mulcahy.bsky.social We joined the Episcopal church for the first time last year after a lifetime as conservative evangelicals. Maybe we just got luck with our parish and diocese, but I've seen more non-manipulative love of and service to people at this church than any place else I've ever been.

@midwest-mulcahy.bsky.social Visiting new churches is so hard. Big kudos for even considering it.

@drose WordleBot says I got lucky today. Still: #YoungPups FTW.

@chrishubbs.com Yes. Or just make them exhibition games instead of regular season games.

@chrishubbs.com It is early for opening day; they moved it up for Cubs/Dodgers playing in Japan. The rest of the league doesn’t start until 3/27, which is still a few days earlier than usual.

@ChrisJWilson @patrickrhone I haven't read Crouch's book, but isn't that just true of all technology adoption? We invent the tech, we find uses for it, and then we adapt our lives based on its use. Suddenly I'm redesigning my house and my night-time habits because indoor plumbing means I no longer have to go out and use the privy. Is that adaptation a bad thing? The issue isn't adapting to use tech, it's whether the tradeoff is worth it. To use your example, is it worth reorganizing your floor layout to get the benefit of a robot vacuum? There's not a right/wrong answer to that question.
