@chrishubbs.com Indeed. And yet hope springs eternal. (Or maybe we’re just masochists.)
@davidtoddmccarty Similarly, any composition of words using a typewriter or electronic word processor can’t be described as “writing”.
@chrishubbs.com French in particular drives me batty, because he’s clearly smart and communicates well… and usually he’s this close to really getting it but he’s been that close for like 5 years now and still hasn’t gotten there.

@joshuapsteele Thanks for reading! Hope it’s helpful.
@chrishubbs.com *definition of sin… dang typos
@chrishubbs.com Just to say a little more: the decision of sin that has resonated with me for a while is “that which conflicts with human flourishing”. What @mtrkdjoyce.bsky.social tied together for me here is that “flourishing” really looks like the Fruit of the Spirit.
@chrishubbs.com Which in turn will help me communicate that thought better with my still-evangelical friends and family who otherwise would get suspicious of a phrase like “human flourishing”.
@endonend Cool! I’m gonna give it a whirl.
@dljohnston.bsky.social Michael Gorman’s “Reading Revelation Responsibly” was a game-changer for me. It’s at the well-read layperson level.
@chrishubbs.com I’ve seen you on the socials. I think you win.
@chrishubbs.com Yeah at the church we went to he might’ve been adequate as a worship team vocalist but his guitar chops wouldn’t have passed muster.
