@joshuapsteele Oof. Good luck.

@drose I have not, but I’ll look it up. Thanks for the recommendation!

@chrishubbs.com Yes! I think the only one of theirs I’m missing now is Barton Fink.

@chrishubbs.com Yep. Blessedly the light bulb came on for me the other direction: there’s no way in hell I’d impose torment on my kid, so if God is a better parent than me, how could he impose it on his children?

@Miraz That’s quite beautiful!

@chrishubbs.com Thanks! I wasn’t looking for a big change, but sometimes things just drop into your lap!

@knepherbird.com “…some have greatness thrust upon them.”

@chrishubbs.com Yep! My first day onsite as a Boeing employee today.

@joshuapsteele Yeah, I subscribed to The Dispatch for a while back when they started, but eventually their willing blindness to Republican malfeasance and their reflexive disdain for Democrats just became too much for me.

@chrishubbs.com I haven’t found anything better than Picard. I’ve had to do some manual lookups to seed it, and on occasion I’m using MP3Tag to go do truly manual edits.

@patrickrhone Given that the catalog of punny names for coffee shops has pretty well been exhausted, I’m glad that dispensaries are coming online to take up the slack!

@judasthaddaeus.bsky.social 20 years ago this was the stuff of dystopian movies. Now serious people are suggesting it? Oh hell no.

@joshuapsteele I have somehow managed to never set up a profile on Threads. Bluesky and Mastodon have been plenty for me. I’m about 50/50 on level of interaction between the two.

@chrishubbs.com He takes the Bach so seriously both by playing it straight and then by bluegrass inflecting it and weaving it with Nickel Creek stuff.

@chrishubbs.com Last night he also played Radiohead’s “Nude” as selected by the audience and then for his encore said “hey you guys pick something” and ended up with a jaw-dropping cover of Wilco’s “Poor Places”.

@misty.granades.com Oh that looks nice. Soak up some sun for me!

@joshuapsteele Nice! I’m in.

@emilyjanehubb.bsky.social I’m Cathy but I really want to be Kyle.

@lex Yes.

@jimswift.bsky.social As a parent who has cleaned out car seats after a nasty diaper blow-out or 6 months of toddler snacks, I can see the value proposition.

@todd Very different from Babel. Still enjoyable. She’s riffing on all the hell/afterlife mythologies. It’s maybe just a bit too clever but it’s well done.

@ReaderJohn @isaacgreene Following… I love me some Ravel but I need to know more.

@drose It’s bittersweet, every time.
