Decided I should take another run at some personal journaling. Three days in a row in DayOne isn’t a long streak, but hey, you gotta start somewhere.

2025 Reads: Incompleteness by Rebecca Goldstein 📚

A very readable biography of a very brilliant, sad character.

I’ve been pretty quiet online this week. Long week at work, frigid temps outside, feel like I’m just trying to keep my head above water. Really thankful it’s Friday.

2025 Reads: How to Make Sense of Any Mess by Abby Covert 📚

Fine, for what it was. More a pamphlet than a book…

2025 Reads: The World According to Physics by Jim Al-Khalili 📚

What a wonderful little book! As clearly written as you would hope for an intro, while not sacrificing depth.

2025 Reads: The MANIAC by Benjamin Labatut 📚

Phew, what a novel. Stunning stuff.

A chilly 13F outside and this is the warmest it’s going to be until Friday…. Oof.

Daily forecast for the next week showing highs in the single digits F and lows in double digits below zero

Completely lost lock on Valentine’s Day until early yesterday. Snuck a little shopping in yesterday afternoon, will survive to see another one. 😂

(Had already planned dinner out for last night. Nobody goes out for dinner on Valentine’s Day proper, it’s too busy.)

Somehow at work I ended up with a 6:30 AM Zoom call and a 3 PM Zoom call today. On a Friday. Oof. (Might go hit the gym after lunch and before the 3pm.)

2025 Reads: Tech Agnostic by Greg Epstein 📚

Not sure I buy his thesis, but it’s an interesting argument.
