Spent the night cooking sausages and flipping pancakes for a Shrove Tuesday dinner at church tonight. Good food, fun folks to spend the evening with. Definitely ready for sleep now.

My unsolicited Oscars hot take: I’ve only seen 3 of the Best Picture noms, so I don’t have an informed opinion. But: Sean Baker has done some tremendous film making already, so if Anora follows in that line I’m happy to see him recognized.

Yesterday we had our Bishop’s visitation to our church congregation. A long day but a good one. I appreciate her enthusiasm for Jesus and her sermon which unpacked the Transfiguration. It’s a blessing to have landed in the Episcopal church. ⚓

Started reading Reinhold Neibuhr’s Moral Man and Immoral Society tonight. Holy cow. That first chapter could’ve been written today and not 1932.

I set up Homebridge on my Synology last night and got it integrated with my OpenGarage device. Lo and behold, I’m getting notifications when my family opens and closes the garage door this morning! Now to get it integrated with all the smart lights… this could be addictive.

Got out for a run for the first time since last fall. Feels great to be in the fresh air again. Now to remember how to run with any pace. 😂

Routine thrown off this morning with a car in the shop. As I result I forgot to throw my iPad into my bag to bring to work. And no car means I can’t run home for it even if I wanted to. Let’s see how this day goes without it…

A week ago I upgraded from my old Apple Watch Series 8 to an Apple Watch Ultra 2. This is the watch I have been looking for. Bigger, better screen, improved sensors, ridiculous battery life. The retail price point is kinda bonkers but the used price for a like-new one was far more reasonable.
