Last night my 21yo daughter, 10 hrs away at school, in her first apartment, asked for advice to help with a plumbing issue. I was feeling awful that I wasn’t nearby to help.
This afternoon she texts that she went to Lowe’s, bought the right tool, fixed the problem.
Guess maybe we raised her ok. ❤️
Well that was a beautiful morning for a run. Maybe could’ve pushed my pace a little harder but I went into it saying I’d be happy if I ran consistent 9’s and I did!

Up earlier than usual on a Sunday - running the NewBo 10K an hour from now. You never know when you sign up weeks ahead whether you’ll get a good day for a run, but it’s gorgeous this morning: 60F, crisp and clear.
Measuring my shed roof and headed to Lowe’s for roofing supplies. Roofing is one of those jobs I said last time I was getting too old to wanna do, but for a 2-square shed roof I think I can manage. 😀

Well, I’d give the #Huskers a B- grade at best. Lots of room for improvement on both sides of the ball. But a win is a win.

Well, I had previously been positive about the Castro podcast app’s functionality on my Apple Watch. This last “bugfix”, though, broke it completely. Playback pauses every time the watch face goes dark. Support reply: “it’s on our roadmap eventually”. 😡
Just ran across a DayOne post from 9 years ago where one of my evangelical pastors was basically a Trump and slavery apologist and I wasn’t sure what to do with it.
How the hell did it take me four more years to leave that place?
Lesson learned from Monday. 7 hours of Zoom calls today for work? Don’t even bother going to the office. I’m set up on the patio, laptop, external monitor, hot coffee, fresh air, 54F going to 74F this afternoon. Bring it on.
