Switched up my running playlist last night, enjoyed the variety this morning. Turns out, though, that a playlist designed for an 8K run isn’t quite long enough for a 6-miler (9.5km…)! I hit my cooldown song when I still had a half mile left. That wasn’t as motivating as it could’ve been…
Taking a vacation day on a Friday: a very pleasant choice. Slept in, went for a run, street tacos from a food truck for lunch with the family, now sitting on the back patio with a book. Wonderful.

Somehow I’ve never read this one before… a classic for a reason. Wow.
Got a little Beelink PC to set up as a media server to offload my aging Synology. Left Windows 11 on it. Haven’t had a Windows PC in the house for a while. 24 hours in I’m in Windows Update hell trying to troubleshoot an error that’s maxing CPU. Should’ve just installed Linux.
Second Tuesday night of the month… it’s library board meeting time! An hour a month commitment to be one of the half-dozen voices get to help direct and protect our local public library? One of the most valuable hours of my month.
Have hit the point where I have enough different things going at work that I’m gonna need to start using a task tracker again.
If it’s just one big project with sub-tasks I can manage that in my head just fine. But 3 or 4 separate projects? Write ’em down.
