A Winter Storm Warning for us in Iowa today. My work from home day starts with a 7:30 AM Zoom call with India.

Second Tuesday night of the month, you know what that means…

That’s right, it’s library board meeting night!

It’s going to be more important than ever the next four years to support our libraries.

Coworker right now, still trying to get something to work: “I’ve been able to get to know a lot of IT people as a part of this process, so that’s good…”

#protip: if you just tip your webcam down a little bit then it doesn’t look like you’re slouching in my desk chair even when you’re definitely slouching.

Got my score to the Mozart Requiem marked up per the scan of the conductor’s copy that was provided. Now to get some practice in prior to rehearsals starting in a few weeks!

The liturgy hits different when you are called to share the peace of the Lord and the body and blood of Christ with someone who gaslit and shamed you on Facebook during the week. ⚓️

Trying my hand at cooking somethingng new today. My paternal great-grandma, as a German immigrant to Kansas made bierocks and the recipe was handed down. It’s been in my recipe book for years but I’ve never triedd making them before! First up: meat and cabbage.

Synology started acting funny today. Turns out that if you install Netdata natively on the Synology, it puts a bunch of stuff in the system partition, and you end up running out of space, and weird stuff happens. Lesson learned: next time I’ll do it as a Docker install.

Loving the new micro.blog Bayou theme from @Mtt. I dug in and learned enough Hugo to customize it a bit, pretty happy with how it looks at the moment. One of these days I’ll take the time to try to roll my own, but for now happy to have talented designers’ work available.
