Doing squats at the gym is always deceptive for me.
Never feel like I’ve pushed that hard at the time.
The next day: oof.
18 innings? Phew, glad I didn’t try to stay up and watch the end of the game last night. Tired enough as it is turning it off at 11:20p, going to the 12th inning, and doing today on 5.5 hours of sleep.
Even better after a full day at speech and debate: my daughter took first place in the spontaneous speech category! (You’re given a choice between 3 prompts, you have 2 minutes to prepare and then give a 5 minute speech on the topic… phew.)
Spending the day in Des Moines at a high school speech and debate tournament. Judged a few of the early rounds. (My first time judging!) My daughter is in the finals for extemporaneous speech at the moment. 🤞 A fun day.

When you’re on a keto diet but your Indian co-workers host a Diwali potluck… keto can wait until tomorrow. Good gracious that was tasty.
I think maybe the cold front that came through overnight marks the actual start of the chilly part of autumn for us here in Iowa. Low 40’s this morning and quite breezy. More of the same all week. Time to start cleaning up outside and prepping for winter.
