People who opine on such things say it’s one of the greatest English novels ever.

I guess maybe it’s an acquired taste.

Back in the office today after a 4-day weekend trip. Let’s get to it!

Taking a vacation day from work today - have a bunch to burn yet this year! Did a nice 5-mile run, now going along shopping with my wife. Later: platelet donation time. A lovely cool-ish fall day… beats being in the office.

Goodness, that’s my 68th book of the year and it’s not even the end of September. At this rate I will hit 90 books for the year, which would be the most of any year since we had kids. Guess this is what empty nest life will be like? (Youngest still home 2 more years, for the record.)
