I have to question NPR listener’s taste, because while the Jenny Lewis disc is pure gold, Regina Spektor is most certainly not. And while Cat Power is absolutely amazing, Tom Waits is some sort of acquired taste I haven’t yet developed.
It’s funny. I was just listening to Return to Cookie Mountain yesterday. It’s really good, and kind of a strange co-incidence that I’d go to sleep to Cookie Mountain and wake up to read this list 🙂
