Andy Naselli has an excellent list of links on his blog to many, many sermons available for download by D. A. Carson. I am a huge fan of Carson’s and greatly enjoy listening to any of his talks that I can get my hands on. If you are similarly inclined, head over to Andy’s site and start downloading. I just pulled down about 20 hours worth of audio. Good stuff.
I have been looking back through my Google Reader archive and realized that I have a lot of stuff that I’ve starred that hasn’t made it into a link dump. So here’s your chance to catch up with online stuff that I’ve been enjoying!
Tom Wright Talks. Links to two recent N. T. Wright lectures. I haven’t actually listened to them yet, but I”ll get around to it.
We Need the Gospel of Jesus in America. A plea from the Internet Monk. Always good stuff.
A review of Voddie Baucham’s Family Driven Faith. I need to get a copy of this book.
iMonk again: John Piper on why Christian Children should be confused.
Summary of the “Confessions of a Pastor” talk from the Buzz Conference. Powerful stuff. Can’t wait to hear the audio.
You Need to Smile More. Or, reasons you might not need to. iMonk is one of my favorites.
5 Reasons to have Family Worship. Good reminders from Joe Thorn.
It’s been almost a month since the last one, and while I think I lost a few good links in the FeedLounge to Google Reader transition, I still have some good stuff to share.
(Actually, I didn’t lose any – but I’m too lazy to go dig out my text file of links and find the good ones. Sorry.)
So, here they are, in sort of a serious-to-non-serious order. Enjoy!
- McKinley @ Catalyst [Reformissionary]
Thoughts on “being” the Church, from Steve McKinley, the pastor of Imago Dei church in Portland, OR. - Veith on Vocation [Between Two Worlds]
The inimitable Justin Taylor points us to some good words by G.E. Veith on, yeah, vocation. - Mahaney on Owen [Between Two Worlds]
JT again, this time hawking a new edition of an old, good book. I may have to buy a copy. - Guild 5 is Now Live [caedmonscall.net]
Join the Caedmon’s Call “Guild” fanclub for exclusive purchase rights to their Guild CDs and the possibility of other future benefits. Yeah, I joined. - Play your favorite NES games online [Lifehacker]
Super Mario Bros, here I come…

While I dont’ generate quite as much link traffic as, say, Geof does, I figure it might still be fun from time to time to give you some idea of the web links I’ve been following and reading. Then you, my intelligent, discerning, and thoughtful readers, can enjoy this Chris-approved list of goodness.
Spiritual/Theological/Church Links
- Monday Devotions – Confession [Worship Matters]
Bob Kauflin gives us the text of a corporate confession of sin used at his church recently. It’s good. - No Fetal Positions Allowed! [The Boneman]
A reminder that the communion service should be a time of rejoicing in our salvation rather than a morose reflection on our own sin. - Quit and See What Happens [internetmonk.com]
Michael Spencer says there’s many folks that are too busy with church stuff, that should quit for a while. Boy did this hit home with me. - Answering Greg Boyd’s Openness of God Texts [The Resurgence]
John Piper deals with some of the texts most often championed by Open Theism. - Evangelistic Worship [The Resurgence]
This is the best post I’ve read on worship in a long, long time. The thoughts in here will reshape the way we think about and do worship at Noelridge.
Geeky Links
- Download of the Day: myFairTunes6 [Lifehacker]
This nifty little app will strip the DRM information from iTunes downloads. - Pop-up Potpourri: Perpetually In Beta [The Daily WTF]
Gotta love the humor of these pop-up error messages. - Hack Attack: Get More From Google Desktop [Lifehacker]
I’m still torn on Google Desktop; it’s a great tool, but I’m just a little bit leery of a Google app searching through all the documents on my computer. Still, these are some great tweaks and ideas.
