Last saturday I made a trip in to Bradley for my piano lesson with Dr. Kaizer. I saw children playing around in the park next to the building - and then I realized they weren't children, they were actual students at the university. It's amazing how fast time flies. Children move from babies to children to teenagers so quickly. Little Candace is turning 14 this year, and I thought Alec was still 15.. turns out he's 18.

Moral of the story - grab on to those days raking leaves, listening to night and day. So often we get rushed to finish things and before we know it time has passed and those things were rushed through are just memories. 30 isn't old - coming from the 30 year old friend. I'm using 30 as an excuse to slow down, to enjoy what God has given me, and to make twice as many memories as I made in the 20's.

I've been experiencing those "I feel old" feelings a lot lately, too. The next thing that will really freak you out is when your kid is an age that you remember being. Then, you'll realize that you remember your parents at the age you are now. Then you'll sit speechless on the couch for several hours. Yeah, it'll happen.
