Mark,

You're right about the simplification. I'll have to give it a few more listens. Sometimes a pop-sounding song can be a headache to try to simplify, sometimes it goes relatively easy. I'll try to remember to let everyone know which songs I decide to try.

Chris:

I've got my copy as well. I agree that there are a few songs that are really "no way" for congregational hymns, especially the Andy O. feature, although that is a GREAT SONG!

The rest, well I always found that some songs could be simplified from professionally produced worship albums. Sometimes just straightening out the curves in the road -- changing the key, making the note values a little more on the beat, eliminating tricky instrumental parts -- could make them very usable by the smallest worship teams.

Is this where I register my discontent that I don't have a pre-order of this?

Okay, wait ... I've been ripping the concept up one side and down the other.

[...] In The Company of Angels: The World Will Sing, the latest offering from Caedmon’s Call. I got the pre-release for worship leaders as I noted in my previous post. I’ve listened through it 3 or 4 times so far. [...]
